Milovanov Valery Ivanovich, D.Sc. Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine

In 1963 he graduated from Odessa Technological Institute of Food and Refrigeration Industry.

From August, 1963 till September, 1966 worked as the engineer, and then the chief of the bureau organization p / c 99, (Nikolaev). From September 1966 to December 1967 – Head of the SPNSB Group of the USSR Ministry of Tractors and Agriculture, Odessa. From January 1968 to October 1970 – PhD student. Bauman (Moscow), where he successfully defended his Ph.D. After working for three months as Bauman Ministry of Emergency Situations, in February 1971, he passed the competition for the position of Head. Department of Refrigeration Equipment of the VNIITorgmash Ministry of Food Engineering of the USSR (Moscow), where he worked until October 1974.

Since October 1974 he has been working at OTIHP – Art. teacher, associate professor, dep. Dean, Dean of the Faculty, Associate Professor of the Department of Cryogenic Machines, and after defending his doctoral dissertation in 1986, is elected Head of the Department of Compressor and Expansion Machines. In this position he is the head of the department, now – compressors and pneumatic units, the Odessa State Academy of Refrigeration, and since September 1, 2012 – the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies.

The main direction of scientific activity is the development of the basic principles of modern improvement and modernization of refrigeration compressors of various sizes, designed to work on alternative environmentally friendly refrigerants.

According to the results of his work, Milovanov V.I. received the honorary title of Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, was honored with Honorary Certificates of the Odessa Regional Administration and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

At the department of compressors and pneumatic units Professor Milovanov V.I. teaches a whole range of disciplines, manages the students’ industrial practice, their diploma design, as well as the scientific work of graduate students in writing dissertations.
